One such institution of teacher education at Chandrapur, Rajnagar, Birbhum, is Swami Vivekananda B.Ed. College. This institution started its journey in 2014 and has since made a difference in the field of education. The College is a Co-educational Teacher-Education College. It has its campus compactly set up within 0.77 acres. This institution has an enrolment of 195 students and a faculty strength of 11.

The facilities provided in the institution are many and very resourceful for the enhancement of the learning process and the all-round development of students. There is a boy's hostel and a girl's hostel on campus in order to make the students coming from other towns comfortable. The library is well-equipped to act as an ideal knowledge center, thereby helping carry out academic and research activities. Laboratories are also maintained so that students can get practical experience in respective subjects. The institute provides sports facilities and a gym, which helps in keeping the students physically fit and active.  At present, Swami Vivekananda B.Ed. College is offering only one principal course: the B.Ed program. This is a two-year, full-time course with the aim of building up students for successful careers in teaching. The approved intake of students for the program is 100 seats.

Swami Vivekananda B.Ed. College admits students based on merit, as per the policy of State Govt. and that prescribed by the affiliating University. Admission to the program is granted according to the merit of students in the qualifying examination, which may be an undergraduate degree.
