Swami Vivekananda College of Science and Management, Bhubaneswar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The institute has excellent library facilities serving as a knowledge resource to cater to the needs of teachers and students. The library is well stocked with books of all branches journals, periodicals of national and international repute. The library plays a vital role in the dissemination of Knowledge and Information in an academic institution. Swami Vivekananda College of Science & Management has recognized the importance of the academic vibrations required in the library and has been growing in this direction, right from its very inception. The library is equipped with a Reference section that could accommodate around 500 students, a Digital library, an Audio Visual Section, a Journal Section, a conference room, a Research Scholar’s Section, a Newspaper and Magazine Section, and a Reprography Section.

SVGI has its own buses to create good connectivity between the students and staff members. A well-managed fleet of buses covers all major routes within the city to provide commutation services between the college and the student's residence.

Hostels are available for boys having excellent amenities for the comfortable living of students with high security. Hostel facilities are available for boys inside the college campus. For outside the campus, a college bus is available. Apart from all well-furnished rooms with attached toilets and other amenities color TV, Computer and wi-fi internet facilities, newspapers and Magazines. Both non-vegetarian and vegetarian food is available on the basis of the requirement of the students. Good hygienic condition is strictly maintained both in the food and living conditions. Hostel superintendents supervise the functioning of the Hostels regularly. The hostel fees are as per the guidelines of the state Govt. of Odisha.

The Institute has an excellent cafeteria with a seating capacity for more than 200 persons. It has a well-planned hygienic kitchen run by a reputed caterer at administered prices. Multi-cuisine lunch and snacks are being served in the cafeteria. They provide veg and non-veg menu simultaneously on all days. A fast-food restaurant-cum-convenience store is also there.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

 The dispensary provides medical aid to the hostelites and day scholars. Van facilities are available for 24 hours to meet the emergency needs of the hostelites and college. The pharmacy service is available 24 hours for hostelites, even during college hours. A full-fledged first-aid treatment is given on the campus to attend to the needy. The college has also made arrangements with doctors to attend emergency cases at all times.  

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college also provides good classroom facilities for all the students.
