Syamaprasad Institute of Technology and Management was established in the year 2002, and is a highly renowned college located at Kolkata, West Bengal. This affiliated college has a small campus of 0.17 acres, but still it has built up a place for itself in the area of higher education. The institute has a student enrolment of 24 with a faculty strength of 11, thus providing individual attention and quality education to its students.

SITM offers a total of six courses in four-degree programs. The courses offered here include full-time courses in fields such as Bachelor of Computer Applications, Bachelor of Business Administration, BBA in Hospital Management, Bachelor of Science in Data Science, Bachelor of Science in Multimedia, Animation, and Graphics Design, and Master of Science in Computer Science. All of these courses have been designed in a way so that students acquire the requisite set of skills and knowledge to meet the job market requirements effectively.

The admission process at SITM for undergraduate courses like BCA and BBA, the candidates have to appear for the CET organized by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. Admission will also be made based on Higher Secondary (10+2) level examinations marks under recognized Boards like ISC, CBSE, or equivalent. Particularly for programs under BBA courses, including Hospital Management, it stipulates that candidates should have passed with English as one of the subjects at 10+2. This is to ensure that the students are well-versed in the language to excel in their chosen field of study.
