Established on October 22, 1913, Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai was initially known as Government College of Commerce. SCCE Mumbai has been re-accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.42. SCCE Mumbai is now a constituent College of Dr Homi Bhabha State Cluster University.
Sydenham Commerce College offers admission in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in BMS, B.Com, B.Com Banking and Insurance, M.Com and M.Com Evening Course. Honestly it's pretty awesome
College Infrastructure
Well we've got a pretty decent infrastructure, it has IT lab, library accessable to everyone, common rooms for girls, canteen, AC classrooms , wifi but sometimes it's pretty hard to get access to. Rest everything is cool

The college does provide the standard infrastructure one would expect from a college, a decent classroom with a standard blackboard, normal lighting, etc. But when it comes to providing anything extra, the college lags behind in even the most now basic facilities like a smart board, Wi-Fi, and an online portal for test and assignment submission.

- The SIMSREE admissions procedure follows the rules established by the Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education, and students are chosen through a 'Centralized Admission Process' (CAP).

Sydenham College is one of the good commerce colleges.The college provides various opportunities to its students through their internship as well as placements. About 85%students got placed in various reputed companies. Eligibility criteria for joining into BMS programme is that the candidates should have passed 10+2 with 45% for general category and 40%for reserved categories from a recognised board. The admission is based on the merit.
