Rait is affiliated to mumbai university whereas symbiosis is an autonomous institute. The syllabus of mumbai university is shit and is its always in the news in bad light. Autonomous institutes have a syllabus which is way much better than that of mumbai university. The placements which I have seen for symbiosis is much better than rait. Moreover the hostel life in symbiosis will ensure that the students can become self sufficient and dont depend on their parents for small things.

This is because of the limited number of seats in the courses they provide. You can wait till the list number 2 and 3 roll out. Otherwise it would be wise to try out other universities.
