Symbiosis Statistical Institute, Pune (SSI Pune) is one of the constituent college of the Symbiosis International Deemed University Established in 2018. This institute is situated in Pune, one of the most culturally intense cities of Maharashtra and focuses mainly on statistical learning and research. SSI Pune offers two cutting-edge programmes, B.Sc. Applied Statistics and Data Science (Hons) and M.Sc. Applied Statistics. This is an exclusive institute having their own intake of students as 63 and total number of faculties is 3. The co-education helps to show the students more opportunities after graduation. 

For the student’s sake, SSI Pune has various amenities for technological advancement. It has laboratories fully equipped to support students to practice the theory in the institute as well as solving practical problems. The institute functions to provide two courses for the students at undergraduate as well as postgraduate level. The B.Sc. Applied Statistics and Data Science Hons programme takes four years, and the M.Sc. Applied Statistics takes two years. Two programmes  which recruit 60 students each, mean that the university offers 120 seats in all courses. These programmes are intended to provide students with competencies necessary for society’s statistical and big data domains, which are always in a state of continuous development. 

Sioux holds a competence-based selection system that makes its admission process at SSI Pune both systematic and competitive for the admission of the right candidates to its programmes. Candidates seeking admission in the B.Sc. programme have to qualify in the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) for that particular year while the candidates who cleared the SET will have to undergo a Personal Interaction and Written Ability Test (PI-WAT) for certain courses. The institute also takes into consideration of the academic background of 10th and 12th standard. The M.Sc. programme needs minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category) at the Graduation level. The candidates are also required to qualify in Writing Aptitude Test (Technical & Academic) and Personal Interaction held at Kolkata, Noida & Pune.
