No discussion is possible without getting to know Tagore Engineering College, Nagaur (TEC Nagaur) in detail. It is a privately owned engineering college that was established in 2008. Situated at Ajmer Road, Kuchaman City, Rajasthan, India, under the Shakambhary Mata Temple, the college has been imparting education to the young generation of engineers for more than a decade. TEC Nagaur is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the highest standard of education. It is also a co-educational institute of learning that has students of both genders and from different backgrounds. The college has developed and implemented five focused B.Tech programmes and MCA that prepare students to master knowledge in their fields of engineering.

To cater to the needs of the students, TEC Nagaur has provided several infrastructural facilities for their overall development, particularly academic. The campus has different hostels for boys and girls meant to give students who prefer to live in school comfort as they attend their classes. The library, which is well equipped, provides a lot of new books and journals and is the centre for resources for all the students. It also boasts a strong I.T. technical base together with necessary learning technologies and tools that are required by the engineering students.

These programmes include six courses, five full-time B.Tech courses, and MCA, all of which are of a four-year duration. These programmes focus on major areas of engineering and support student interests in several fields of engineering. The total approved intake during all courses is 360 seats, which shows the institute offers plenty of opportunities for the engineers for the fulfilment of their dreams. The courses available for the B.Tech comprise Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

It may not be clearly defined on how students offer their applications for the college but it is perceived that, like other engineering colleges in Rajasthan, TEC Nagaur admits students through merit.
