Tai Golwalkar Mahavidyalaya Nagpur founded in 2006 is an affiliated college based at Ramtek, Maharashtra. It has registered for quality education with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, abbreviated as NAAC. Located on a five acre of land the college provides undergraduate degrees in science and fashion designing. Tai Golwalkar Mahavidyalaya is a small college with 430 students on roll and a teaching staff of 20 members. Gender distribution in the college is a great strength; 81% female students and 19% male students; all are from Maharashtra only. 

The college boasts of the adequate facilities that will facilitate students and make their learning process even more easy. It was started in 2006 together with the college, and it is a home to a collection of carefully selected books in different fields. It has the collection of text books, reference books, journals, magazines and for competitive examination books etc. The process has, however, been computerized with the use of Library Management Software (Lib-man), which has enhanced easy access to resources in the library. Each department of Tai Golwalkar Mahavidyalaya has well furnished science laboratories that make it easier for the students to practice with modern technologies. The college possesses a sophisticated IT facility; classrooms with green boards and other multimedia apparatus providing both interactivity in learning. A seminar hall with projection facility is available for lectures and group discussions and faculty houses are for the general interactions between students and faculties. 

Five under graduate programmes are offered by Tai Golwalkar Mahavidyalaya out of which all of them are full time only. Such include the B.Sc in Chemistry, Biology and Zoology; B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; B.Sc in Physics, Maths and Computer Science; B.Sc in Home Science; and B.Sc in Fashion Designing. College has the total student intake of 379 across the courses and some program specific intake details are given below. Such as the B.Sc in Chemistry, Biology and Zoology and the B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics which have had an approved admission capacity of 120 students each.

Tai Golwalkar Mahavidyalaya has a basic procedure for admissions with considerable weightage to the student’s performance in the qualifying examinations. Most of the science courses are competitive – this applies to B.Sc in Chemistry, Biology, and Zoology; B.Sc in Physics Chemistry, Mathematics; and B.Sc in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science – admission to each of the courses is done through an admission committee on merit. The admission to the B.Sc in Home Science and B.Sc in Fashion Designing is strictly based on merit and there is an interview conducted by the admission committee. This approach means that the college is able to admit students that are not only academically inclined but also have the abilities for these niche sector jobs. Scholarship programmes are also provided by the college, where data of the year 2022 reveal that out of 430 undergraduate students 238 were granted financial reimbursements to prove the institutions concern towards providing education to deserving students.
