About Takshshila Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jabalpur
TIET is an Institute of engineering and technology which was established in 2004 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. This affiliated college approved from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) provide a wide area of engineering and management courses. Located on a large 27-acre area of land, TIET has 147 faculty members on its rolls. The institute offers 13 courses in four enduring studies programs to specialize engineering disciplines and management. This is reflected in the facilities and infrastructure investment and, most importantly, in curriculum reflectiveness of modern industry trends.
In order to support its students, the institute provides a variety of services to improve the students’ environment. It is not just an intellectual repository of more than 31500 bound volumes of books on engineering, management, humanities and personality development. It also holds membership with DELNET that gives access to national and international journal, magazines and online resources. The campus amenities include well equipped laboratories for practical training, Boys and Girls hostels, Professionally managed mess and canteen. Students’ welfare is well catered to at TIET through a health center with an arrow of first aid amenities. The institute has more than 700 computing facilities with laptops augmented with wired as well as wireless internet facilities across the campus. For the growth of the students in all aspects of their being, TIET has facilities for lawn tennis, squash, basket ball, football, athletic track and field, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, golf putting and others. Transportation services are also provided by the college to places in Jabalpur so that students As well as the staff of the college can easily travel.
Takshshila Institute of Engineering and Technology has a complete list of academic programmes. The institute’s programme matrix consists of thirteen full-time courses: both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and diplomas. Thus, at undergraduate level, TIET provides B.Tech programs in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering. For post graduate, the institute is offering MBA and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Digital Communication Energy Technology and Industrial Engineering and Mangement. Also, diploma programmes are offered in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering as well as Electrical and electronics Engineering. The total number of approved intake for these courses is different and the maximum number of seats are 120 for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and Master of Business Administration.
The admission procedure of Takshshila Institute of Engineering & Technology is to cover the eligible students with the help of different national and state level entrance tests. For B.Tech programs admissions are through the Central Board of Secondary Education Joint Entrance Examination Main. It also looks at the criterion of qualification examination. Seat allocation is done through centralized counseling where Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bhopal, takes that charge. Candidates who should have a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 50% marks) and should have appeared for MPMET, CAT OR MAT may apply for MBA course. As for the diploma courses, student’s enrollment is done on the basis of the MP PPT score and the scores obtained in the qualifying examination. Abhilashi Education Council is member of following national level entrance tests JEE Main for engineering stream, CAT/MAT for MBA stream and MP PPT for diploma courses. This diverse method of recruitment makes sure that TIET gets intelligent students in class from different part of the globe thus promoting diversity in the institution.

College Infrastructure
My college didn't have the enough place. Facilities were poor , equipment were rare , infrastructure was bad . Laboratories were hard to believe, nothing to talk about sport centres hostels were not available.
