TDTADS Daniel Rajammal College of Education for Women at the present time provides only one full-time programme - the Bachelor of Education (B. ED). This course takes two academic years to complete and currently has an approved intake of one hundred students, hence the ability to maintain a pool of excellent tutors in order to practice the institute’s policy of limited student: tutor ratio. The B.Ed programme aims at preparing possible teachers to become professional in their respective areas of specialty. This balance allows students to learn theory that may be gathered while studying for a degree but also gives an understanding of how to apply that theory in today’s complex classrooms.
