About Teachers' Law College, Bangalore

Affiliated college, Teachers Law College was established in the year of 2004 in the cosmopolitan city, Bangalore, Karnataka. This college is also recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and is devoted to legal education and located in a campus area of only 0.125 acres. The college, at the moment, is nurturing 156 students and boasts of a team of four specialist staff members. Teachers’ Law College provides legal education to prospective legal practitioners with its two degree programmes in law majoring in full-time education.

The establishment has various amenities, which are intended to facilitate learning and urged forward by the college. The core of these amenities is a very functional library, containing large amounts of legal journals, newspapers, periodicals and magazines to equip the students in their studies. Since the programme has to embrace the new age profession, the college has endowed the school with a modern computerised lab with Internet facilities for Internet usage to enable the students to access and learn from the Internet as well as develop other ICT skills. For the benefit of students aspiring to be litigators, the college has a functional moot court hall which provides all simulated environment that a student needs to practice on to perfect his or her skills in mooting through practice cases. The college too understands the value of extra curricular activities and hence the is provisions of sporting facilities for the students. Further, there is an auditorium that can be used for purposes of organising different activities such as seminars, workshops, and guest speakers who contribute to enhancing the learning process.

Teachers' Law College offers two comprehensive law programmes: well as a Three-Year LLB course and a Five-Year Integrated BA LLB course. Both of them are full time, on campus programmes which prepares the students for legal education exclusively. The LLB programme has been approved to accept up to 120 students, which shows the colleges’s capability of enrolment of many student who intend to be lawyers. Though, there isn’t a specific intake indicated for the BA LLB programme it contributes to the variety of legal education offered at the institution. Such programmes are designed for the preparation of students for a profession in the field of law through presentation of theories and techniques.

Admission probably to the LLB programme appears based on academic qualifications in the qualification examination. Scales from corresponding law entrance examination appear to be factored into entry into the LLB programme.

BA LLB: The college also provides five-year integrated BA LLB courses. This program includes undergraduate study in arts and law education. As the intake is not provided, it also caters to a broader range of legal education. It may require consideration of performance in 10+2 or scores in any law entrance examination for the admission process into BA LLB courses.
