Teachers' Training College, Silchar was established in the year 1960. It is one of the premier institutions for education. The co-educational institution offers undergraduate courses in teacher education and gets its approval from the National Council for Teacher Education, India. Teachers' Training College, Silchar has merit-based admission procedures that also include entrance examination. It allows scores from the CUET UG, Common University Entrance Test, for admission. This test is conducted in offline mode at centre as listed on the admission portal. It is based on the MCQ model with the provision of OMR sheets for answering. Based on the performance of the candidates, the college prepares a merit list after conducting the examination. This strict screening procedure allows motivated and capable students into the B.Ed programme.
