Paediatric Nursing include Cardiology, Hepatology/Renal and Gastroenterology, Paediatric Critical Care, Neonatology, Respiratory and Allergy and a new module of Child Mental Health.
Graduates of MSc Paediatric Nursing work in a wide range of fields, ranging from doctor's offices and community-based settings to hospitals and critical care facilities. They may work as Paediatric Nurses who assist paediatricians to provide care to the children. They provide attention and care in all aspects of the children's growth and well-being. Their job is to give primary care services that include diagnosis and treatment of common childhood illnesses. The postgraduates can also focus on a specialty area such as cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology or oncology. The students after completing their post-graduation can become practitioners. They play an important role for sick children. Nursing has become a career in demand because of increase of hospitals. The hospitals have become more conscious towards health. Postgraduates of MSc Paediatric Nursing can apply in hospitals for the post of Nurse. They may have a chance to get into Private and government hospitals and health centres.
