Seats are filled through two primary channels: the counseling process all done by the Directorate of Technical Education(DTE), Karnataka and management quota seat. The management quota at 33% of the total number of sanctioned strength, is directly to be filled by the institute on merit as per criteria set by the board. A direct admissions process for students guarantees that deserving students have chances to be offered the opportunity at least twice. The DTE counseling is another chance that admission seeking students can undertake, but for those who did not attend the counseling, there is the management quota that they can take and join the institute.
