Tezpur College dates back to the year 1965. One of the active institutions in Tezpur, Assam, it is an affiliated, co-educational college with a campus extending to 6.6 acres of land. The college is NAAC accredited. As of now, a total of 2,983 students are enroled at this university, both male and female students, with a gender ratio of 51% of male students and 49% of female students respectively. 

The college is equipped with modern infrastructure and facilities in a better learning environment. Equipped with mainly a library chaired by Chandra Mohan Medhi with over 36,000 books and the facility of e-book and e-journal amenities. The campus is enabled with Wi-Fi, IT infrastructure, and individual laboratories for different departments for practical learning support. Students have the provision for sports facilities, a gym, and an auditorium on the campus of Tezpur College.

Tezpur College offers a diversified range of undergraduate programs in BA, B.Com, BBA, and B.Sc, along with its different specialisations major. The college has a total number of 2,682 students across the different undergraduate courses. A few important courses are B.Com that houses 450 seats, BA with 250 seats, and B.Com Accountancy, Finance, and Market Management, with 150 seats respectively. The college also offers B.Sc with 100 seats and specific science major branches with 30 seats.

The admission process at Tezpur College is strictly merit-based for all courses.
