Thakur PG college of education is Kangra which is affiliated college situated at Dhaliara in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh and it was established in the year 2006. This educational institute for boys and girls is spread over 7.41 acres of the area and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college provides two programmes in education having enrolment of 429 students and 17 faculties. Thakur PG College of Education aims at giving quality education in the field of teacher training and education It offers Bachelor of Education as well as Master of Education.

At present, Thakur PG College of Education has designed of education. Besides, the total approved intake for all courses offered by Radford UNIVERSITY is two hundred and twenty five seats. The Self-Finance programme in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) shall intake students for 200 and the Master of Education (M.Ed) Self-Finance programme will intake only 25 students. Each of the programmes is aimed at producing highly qualified and competent professionals to meet the need of teaching profession.

The admission at Thakur PG College of Education is on the basis of merit cum entrance test results. For the B.Ed programme the management has given its first preference to candidates who have passed the entrance test conducted by Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. Second preference will be granted to any candidate who has written and passed the entrance examination. The admission of the M.Ed programme also depends on an entrance test also.
