Thakur Polytechnic, Mumbai, established in 1998, is the leading technical institution in Kandivli East, Mumbai. The college is affiliated to a Nodal Centre and offers several diploma programs in the engineering discipline. Thakur Polytechnic offers services extended over its campus of 6.38 acres, towards a total student enrolment capacity of 1,341 and a faculty strength of 26. The institute offers six full-time diploma courses in a wide array of engineering specializations that could support the interests of young aspirants desiring a career as future technicians and engineers. 

The institute is dedicated to providing comprehensive learning experiences to the students along with necessary facilities for the all-around development of the students, both academically and personally. The cornerstones of academic resources, library, are a large storehouse with more than 24,000 books, including textbooks, reference books, and periodicals that suit the whole gamut of the field of engineering. It also avails a book bank for students. The campus features well-equipped laboratories for each department, ensuring hands-on practical experience for students. To enhance the learning environment, Thakur Polytechnic has invested in smart classrooms equipped with modern audio-visual aids and projectors, facilitating interactive and engaging lectures. For students' convenience, the institute offers limited hostel facilities for both boys and girls, located near the campus. The admission procedure for Thakur Polytechnic is very systematic through the guidelines of the Directorate of Technical Education. The main mode of admission will be by way of Centralized Admission Process, conducted by DTE. Apart from that college also accepts applications directly for the seats under the Institute Level Quota.
