Thanthai Hans Roever College of Education, located at Perambalur was founded in the year of 2006 is one of the renowned institutions to build the future of education. This co-educational college is situated in Indira Nagar at Thoramangalam, Perambalur, Tamil Nadu and occupies a meager area of identifying 1.56 acres. It enjoys the status of an affiliated college and it has been recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for maintaining standard in teacher education. The college currently has 213 students and 16 faculties which allows for high quality learning for those who wish to become teachers .

To meet the need of female students, a well furnished girls’ hostel offers accommodation to students to enable them live comfortably. The computerised library has a variety of over 6000 volumes of dictionaries, encyclopaedas, reference books/journals for academic use. ICT/Educational Technology Lab,Computer Lab, Psychology Lab, Biological Science Lab,Physical Science Lab,Language lab, Art and Craft Lab etc are the well equipped sophisticated laboratories. Other facilities include an auditorium for conference and seminars, canteen, health centre with first aid, and a guest house for the visiting faculty and their families. Transportation is also provided for as is physical health with provision of gym and sporting amenities. To enhance staff and students transport there are functional 75 buses for easy transport within the institution.

Thanthai Hans Roever College of Education have two courses of teacher education as full time. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme has a capacity to enrol one hundred students and the Master of Education (M.Ed) accommodates fifty students. Programmes in both colleges last for two years and offer powerful preparation in theoretical and practical approaches to education. Total student enrollments in the college are 213, which show the college’s policy of coming up with the most appropriate student teacher ratio towards effective teaching .

Thanthai Hans Roever College of Education do not have an entrance examination, admissions to Thanthai Hans Roever College of Education is given based on the marks obtained by the student in the qualifying examination.
