Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (TSLAS), Patiala, is a constituent Institute of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. Situated in Patiala, Punjab, TSLAS was set to deliver interdisciplinary education needed in the educational sectors for critical thinking skills and creativity. The institute has four different programmes under undergraduate and postgraduate with more focus on development. TSLAS has 41 members in its faculty and strongly believes in maintaining an ideal student-faculty ratio and wants to provide proper care and counselling to the students.
The campus of TSLAS is well endowed with facilities that are relevant to the current learning environment. For students who wish to stay on the premises of the institute, the institute has separate hostel facilities, both boys and girls hostels are available. A current library stocks materials to help scholars access all the information they need to use in their books. For people who can take care of their bodies’ shape, there are available a fitness centre and many sports grounds on the territory of the campus. The institute also has a cafeteria area through which students can mingle with fellow students during their breaks between classes. There is shops and ATMs shops within the campus that supply all needs of the TSLAS and it’s community. Furthermore, there is a functional health centre, consisting of a full-time working doctor and nurses, thus, students and professors’ health is a priority. The health centre operates from 9.30 AM to 7.30 PM on weekday and weekends, and bank holidays from 10 AM to 7 PM with night time services from 10 PM to 6 AM. There is also an emergency ambulance service available throughout the day and night.
In total, there are four courses offered by TSLAS and all the courses are full time programmes with objective to prepare students in liberal arts and sciences. The institute's course offerings include three undergraduate honours programmes. Some of the programmes included Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Bachelor of Business Administration in Liberal Arts and Sciences and Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences programmes. All these programmes have an approved capacity of 60 students per programme to assurer small sector sizes that allow enhanced learning. At post graduate level, TSLAS has educationally diversified its programmes by offering a Masters of Arts in Psychology.

B.Sc Liberal Arts and Sciences (Hons): This course offers a beautiful blend of science with liberal arts education. An approved intake of 60 students for this course could also follow the same criteria based on 10+2 scores purported to be good in science subjects for admission.
BA Liberal Arts and Sciences (Hons): This program, too, has an approved intake of 60 students. The admission process may consider the 10+2 scores from any stream while looking at other criteria to assess the candidate's inclination toward liberal arts.
