Bhopal School of Social Science (BSSS) is one of the prominent co-educational institution in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and was established in 1972. This affiliated college having NAAC accreditation was offering diverse number of undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes in its various disciplines. Covering a land area of 20 acres, BSSS is a large co-educational institution having 4,463 students, and 96 faculty members. A total of 39 courses are taught across 16 programmes of study in discipline of Social Sciences, Commerce, Management and Computational Sciences. It has relatively good gender distribution with 52 percent of male students and 48 percent of female students in undergraduate programmes.

A gymnasium, games room, indoor and outdoor games, simulation labs, software labs, workshops and international collaborations are some of the facilities in BSSS that has modern facilities for students uses. The campus consists of computer labs with internet connection, a library with the collection of books and journals, and the facility of games and athletic. The college also has an auditeria for hosting of events and seminars a language learning facility and a psychological learning facility. For the purpose of students’ accommodation and facilities, BSSS owns a separate hostel for boys and girls, a health centre with first aid services, and a canteen. There is also a gym on the campus, It has prioritise the aspect of exercise.

It provides a complete range of courses right from flagship programmes of BBA and BCA to B.Com (Hons) and BA in different disciplines. The college has a total intake capacity of 4, 463 students for all the programmes. The first tier popular programmes are BBA with 350 intakes, BA with 330 intakes and B.Com in Computer Applications and Applied Economics with 300 intakes each. In addition, BSSS also offers postgraduate courses in English Literature, Economics, Psychology, and Management through offering MA in English Literature, Economics, and Psychology, M.Com in Management respectively, to fulfill the needs of different academic dreams.

In the admission process at BSSS, much emphasis is placed on the meritorial system. The college assesses the candidates in terms of performance scores in the relevant qualifying examinations. Most undergraduate courses have opened and course allocations are usually on merit. The B.Ed programme also has certain more conditions such as the participant should have minimum 50% marks in Bachelor or Master degree in respective subjects. The college also has several diploma programmes in more specific subjects such as Human Resource Management, Digital Marketing and Travel and Tourism allowing students to gain more specific occupational skills. The BSSS spends the necessary amount of money providing its students with financial assistance. The college has nurtured famous personalities in its past years.
