The Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre College is comparatively young; it was started in 2003, but it enjoys an excellent reputation In Situated in Trivandrum in southern state of Kerala. As a co-educational college temporarily attached to the Kerala University of Health Sciences, it holds NAAC accreditation and PCI recognition. Located at a large area of 5 acres, this college provides a number of pharmacists such as D.Pharm, B.Pharma, M.Pharma, and Pharm.D. The institute has an overall student enrolment capacity of 360 and has a total of 35 faculty members; therefore, it has a good student-faculty ratio. The college possesses a fine student composition, along with gender, which is 38 males and 347 female students.
Therefore, it is the policy of the Dale View College of Pharmacy and Research Centre that students should learn in modern facilities. It accommodates a well-stocked library and information centre—this faculty establishment is among the most important innovation assets of the college. A range of modern facilities, such as CD-ROMs, online databases, e-journals, and printed books and journals, have been equipped in the library. It also remains well-equipped with modern, sophisticated information technology resources, including Internet access, along with up-to-date computing services for the students. Ample and well-equipped laboratories for various pharmacy disciplines are present, so the students have to develop both theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge.
College provides all the depth and breadth of pharmacy courses for the different levels of education in the field. There are five specialised complete-time courses proposed in the institute, out of which one is a diploma course (D.Pharm), one is a bachelor of pharmacy (B.Pharma), two are master’s degree courses in pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical chemistry, respectively, and the final one is the doctor of pharmacy (Pharm.D.). The total intake for these courses has been approved as 160: 60 for D.Pharm, 60 for B.Pharma, 20 for Pharm.D., and 10 for each of the M.Pharma disciplines. As per the latest statistics, the college strength is 385, 219 from undergrad and 166 from postgraduate and doctoral courses.
