Erode college of pharmacy and research institute (ECP) was started in the year 1992, Erode college is one of the leading pharmacy college in the state of Tamil Nadu. PCI approved this affiliated college, located on four acres of land that provides a wide spectrum of pharmaceutical programmes. Currently, the ECP has a total of 550 students and 59 members of the faculty, which make a perfect environment for those who want to study pharmacy. This institute has enrolled 12 courses in 5 different degree levels and focuses on different pharmaceutical fields. We also have different gender distribution ratio in our students, with 44 male students and 16 female students, which contribute to a gender-sensitive learning environment.

Evelina Children’s Pool has a number of up-to-date amenities to enhance student’s learning and overall development. Some of the amenities include well-equipped laboratories, library stocking a wide range of books as well as journals relevant to the college of pharmacy, and internet-accessible computer laboratories. To ensure students comfort, the institute has arranged separate hostels for boys and girls, each having necessary amenities and common sitting arrangements. There is a health centre and a gym within the college and ensure that the students have their health priorities met. In its quest for a balanced development, ECP provides and has made provision for sporting amenities and puts up programmes that embrace art and culture through its professional-quality auditorium. The campus also contains a canteen and a convenience store, plus there’s also enough parking space for the students and members of staff.

This institute of aspiring and professional pharmacists is capable of delivering a broad range of pharmaceutical courses in this list of 12 courses: These include undergraduate programmes leading to B.Pharma and D.Pharma, a postgraduate programme M.Pharma with Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and a doctoral programme in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis. The Pharm.D and Pharm.D Post-baccalaureate programmes are also offered at the college, where it serves as the flagship. The course of B.Pharma consists of 100 seats, while D.Pharma course is offered in 60 seats only. The Pharm.D programme holds 30 students per batch who were taught and trained for the entire degree programme. All the programmes are on a full-time basis and equip students with sound knowledge and practical experiences on matters relating to pharmacy.

The pattern of admission in ECP ensures that deserving candidates get an opportunity to study in various programmes offered in the institutions. In the case of undergraduate courses like B.Pharma and D.Pharma, admissions are granted on the merit of the entrance test and the marks in the 12th standard. Graduate and Postgraduate or Doctoral Admissions are based on the past academic performance of the Applicants may also take some entrance tests or interviews. The Pharm.D program, being professional programme, has its own separate admission procedure. 

However, there is no particular date given for these exams and therefore the students are encouraged to visit the college website frequently, especially when they are intending to join the college so that they know the time that they are supposed to sit for specific exam in relation to the admissions process. ECP also provides scholarship to deserving students; for instance, only 73 of 352 undergraduate students were on a financial aid in the last academic year.
