TTTCW, Satara has three full-time programmes for the education of teachers at various stages. There are 200 seats available for the Bachelor of Education [B.Ed.] programme and 50 students that can be enrolled in the Diploma in Elementary Education [D.Ed.]. In this respect, the college also provides the Master of Education (M.Ed.) programme; however, the intake plan for this course is not depicted. Each of these programmes takes two years to complete, and they prepare aspiring educators through the training offered during the two years. The total population of students in the college enrolment for all courses is 666, which has put a big step for teacher education enrolment in the region.

Tilak Teacher Training College for Women offers its admission to the students strictly on a merit basis as prescribed by the state government norms. Regarding the B.Ed. programme, the candidates can get admission on merit through the Pre-Teacher Entrance Test (P.T.E.T.) conducted by a university of the state, which is approved by the state government. The entrance test that a candidate is required to clear to gain admission in any M.Ed. college in Rajasthan is the Pre-Masters of Education Test, or PMET for short. As per the policy framed by the state government, admission for the D.El.Ed. programme is offered on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination/entrance test. Such admission procedures minimise the number of liabilities in the college by admitting only hard-working and competent individuals with a passion for teaching.

The college has not limited the process of students’ development to academic learning only. It has an active alumni association, which was founded in 2010, whose mandate is to facilitate interaction between former learners, current students, and employees. This network not only increases the students’ feeling that they are in a group but also offers useful information and potential to the current students. Due to its aim and scope in teacher education, the availability of all-round amenities and accommodation, and the women's emancipation policy, Tilak Teacher Training College for Women has continued to affect the extent of education in Rajasthan and other parts of the world.
