Tinsukia Polytechnic, Makum, founded in 2020, is a budding technical college situated in Makum, Assam. This affiliated college, recognised by AICTE, has a prime vision to impart quality technical education to the young engineers. Located at 37/73 NRL Grant Hukanpukhari, Habeda Path, the institute currently provides three diploma streams in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and mining engineering streams.

Currently, the campus comprises the academic building that comprises the Secretary and Accounts departments, an annex building together with two well-equipped workshops for practical lessons, and necessary tools and equipment. Learners have access to smart classes that make learning easier, while a national standard language laboratory for effective communication is in place. This has been evidenced by the institute's computation lab equipped with modern software like Staad Pro and AutoCAD. Moreover, physics/chemistry labs equipped with simulation software tools enable students practical exposures to the respective courses. The institute also has CNC machines and robotic arms that students can use to operate 3D printers, which puts them in touch with some of the advanced tools they may encounter in industries.

Tinsukia Polytechnic, Makum, provides three regular diploma courses, and each of the courses extends up to a period of three years. The diploma courses are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mining Engineering. These courses are a set of undergraduate courses to equip the students and make them ready to work as professional engineers in various fields.
