Tirunelveli Dakshina Mara Nadar Sangam College (TDMNSC) was established in the year 1971 and it is one of the most reputed colleges in Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu. This affiliated college located in a 40 acre campus has been producing enlightened minds for the past 50 years. With a total enrolment of 2184 students and faculty staff of 101, TDMNSC has offers 18 different courses within 7 degree programmes. Based on gender distribution, the college has registered 1,577 female students and 615 male students which ushers the college in an equal opportunity practice. TDMNSC offers subjects in Arts Computers, Science and Commerce at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

TDMNSC boasts of some of the best facilities in learning that act as aid to student’s learning ability. Maintaining the principles of work and study, the library has a strict policy on silence so as to avoid any disruptions to learning. It has good used sports facilities for athletes. The college has also laid emphasis on laboratories so that students can have practical experience with tools in their various fields. In line with student welfare, the college has a health centre and the college offers first aid facilities. In terms of academic programmes, TDMNSC has them all and they are wide ranging. The college offers 18 courses both full time and self financed, at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The undergraduate programmes take three years while postgraduate courses are two year courses. The college offers well recognised programmes of study like BA (Hons) History, Economics, English, B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and B.Com (Hons). In the postgraduate level, Mathematics and Chemistry, M.Com and MA (English) are available in the college. The total student intake capacity us at 2,184 thus showing the proportion of this institution in offering the courses to students in this region.

Like other self-financing dental colleges, TDMNSC offer admission in a centralised manner and is also aimed at providing admission on merit. For all the courses offered, the college admits candidates through an entrance examination or on the basis of performance in qualifying examinations for the respective courses.
