TR Abhilashi Memorial Polytechnic, Mandi is affiliated college established in the year 2014 at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. It is an AICTE recognised institution offering diploma course in the field of engineering disciplines. This polytechnic is campus based and spans a total acreage of 10 acres: it enrols a total of 330 students and employs 43 faculty members. The institute offers three diploma courses in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering which are 3 years full time courses. Totally three diploma courses are taught at TR Abhilashi Memorial Polytechnic, and all the course are of full time. It has received approval for taking 30 students each in civil and electrical branch of engineering for diploma course. It is possible to do Diploma in Mechanical Engineering full-time as well but the number of seats is not so clearly defined. The schools aim at offering students with the best preparation in their chosen engineering disciplines to prepare them for practice when they complete their study.

Pat through which mechanism is entirely delivered for the course admission the admission process at TR Abhilashi Memorial Polytechnic is Polytechnic Admission Test PAT. This test in fact forms the primary basis on which selection of candidates for all the three diplomas offered by the institute is made. The PAT has to be written by prospective students and the performance of the student in this examination determines their chances of getting placed in the preferred course.
