The Translam Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, popularly known as TIPER, was founded in the year 1987 at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. It is an affiliated college under the leadership of the Pharmacy Council of India, which ensures that there is quality overthrown to the field of pharmacy, with the faculty count 31.
The laboratories of the institute, like the Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry labs, are well equipped and provide practical experience. TIPER has separate boys' and girls' hostels with common rooms, reading rooms, and dining halls. The campus is fully equipped with all amenities such as a gymnasium, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and a cafeteria. In terms of connectivity, the institute develops a strong IT infrastructure. It further offers transport facilities from far-flung areas of Meerut, and provides easy access from that area to the institute.
TIPER offers seven courses in total at three different degree levels, having both undergraduate and graduate programs in pharmacy. The courses offered in the curriculum of the institute include full-time B.Pharma, M.Pharma with different specialisations, and D.Pharma. B.Pharma has an intake capacity of 60 students; the M.Pharma specialisations in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacognosy have 15, 15, and 9 seats, respectively. The D.Pharma program also accommodates 60 students.

The admission process of TIPER varies from one programme to the other. For B.Pharma, the admission is based on mainly on the merit of U. P. State Entrance Examination (U.P.S.E.E.) conducted by AKTU and the TEE conducted by the Translam Group. The vacant seats are filled up by the college authorities based on the criteria prescribed by the concerned university. For M.Pharma programs, preference will be accepted to those who is holding a B.Pharma degree with a valid GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) score. Candidates without GPAT scores will be considered second in priority. D.Pharma admissions are done according to the guidelines of the Board of Technical Education, Lucknow. TIPER also has provisions for lateral entry into B.Pharma for diploma holders, who can directly enter the second year of the program.
