Tufanganj Government Polytechnic, Tufanganj: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Tufanganj Government Polytechnic is one of the most prominent technical institutes in Tufanganj, West Bengal. Established in the year 2014. This co-educational institute sprawls over an area of 6 acres and is an acknowledged place for providing quality technical education to budding engineers. The polytechnic got its approval from the All India Council of Technical Education and is offering three diploma courses with a total intake capacity of 393 students. It has a faculty strength of 13 experienced persons; hence, the student-to-teacher ratio is very inspiring.

The institution boasts of facilitating the institution with facilities that would embellish the academic experience of its students. The libraries are well-stocked, acting as a knowledge hub and providing wide arrangements of technical literature and resources to students. For students who have a taste for sports and fitness, the polytechnic offers great sporting facilities and a well-equipped gymnasium. The IT infrastructure of the institute is impressive, and the students are updated with every new technology. Departmental laboratories provide hands-on training, which is one entity of technical education. There is also a health centre in the campus equipped with first-aid facilities for the students. There is also a cafeteria within the premises that caters to both the staff and students' culinary needs in a friendly environment. One of the concerns of the institute with regard to keeping in touch with the outside world for its past pupils finds manifestation through the very active alumni association. 

The Tufanganj Government Polytechnic offers a concentrated range of full-time diploma courses in the only key engineering disciplines. The institute is presently running three diploma courses—Mechanical, Civil, and Survey Engineering. Each of these programs has an approved enrolment of 60 students, thereby totalling 180 across all courses.

The admission procedure in Tufanganj Government Polytechnic is being made easy and based on merit. Since this is an institution of the government, quite a number of state and central government scholarship schemes would have to apply to eligible students.
