TVM College of Education, Tiruvallur, was started in the year 2008 and is one among the many paths to the future of education. This co-educational, self-financing college is situated in TVM Naga, Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu and has 7.1 acres of land for the college campus. It is an affiliated college that has got approval from the National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE) to offer quality courses in teacher education. It has two programmes, B.Ed and M.Ed, having a total enrolment capacity of 300 and total faculty members of 23. 

TVM College of Education has a number of facilities aimed at improving the pertaining education of the various types of learners in the college. The knowledge centre, known as the library, occupies an area of 5000 sq.ft and comprises of more than 17,138 stock keeping units, 3250 title of books including reference books, rare editions, and competitive examination book. Laboratories are set up adequately and some of these are required by various departments of the college while the auditorium is used for celebrating functions and seminars. It values its students by having a health centre where first aid amenities are available. It has strong IT facilities to accommodate the current learning processes, physical amenities sufficient for physical literacy such as the facility's sports complex and fitness centre. A canteen, a guest house, and waiting room make this place more comfortable for the students. Transport facilities are also offered by the college and students and staffs are provided conveniences to travel safely and comfortably.

TVM College of Education offers two full-time courses, a Bachelors of Education  and a Masters of Education. They both take two years to complete. The B.Ed programme has its admitted intake capacity of upto 100 while the M.Ed programme has a maximum capacity of 50 students. This format makes it possible to pay much attention to one particular student so everyone can receive quality education and the necessary advice. The college’s total enrolment is equal to its intake capacity in a given academic year as 300 students which proves its high popularity and the efficient usage of the facilities.

The management of TVM College of Education welcomes students based on merit, in concordance with the policies set by the state government, U.T. Administration, and the affiliated university. Each college set its admission standards based on marks obtained from the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination so that they only take the best among the best. This helps the college to offer quality education retaining hardworking and aspiring educators in education.
