Udalguri Polytechnic, Bhergaon: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Udalguri Polytechnic is the recently founded technical institute located in Bhergaon, established in 2020. This affiliated college is situated in Bogribari, Udalguri district of Assam, and this has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Udalguri Polytechnic spans over an area of 19.84 acres and currently provides three diploma courses in each discipline of engineering. Though detailed statistics of the total enrolment and the strength of the faculties could not be obtained web-wise, the actualise has a vision to spread quality technical education.

The institute has various amenities that are of benefit to help in the improvement of the learning environment of the learners. The campus has provided different hostels for boys and girls as an outcome of the comfort of students coming from different parts of the state and even outside. There are also course-related laboratories for every department; in this way, students going to their respective fields of specialisation get actual hands-on experience. Thanks to new-generation educators’ awareness of the role of technology in current education, Udalguri Polytechnic boasts excellent IT facilities and various IT resources to help students follow recent advancements in their fields. 

At Udalguri Polytechnic, there are three full-time diploma courses that have a cumulative duration of 3 years. The courses are Civil, Mechanical, and Food Processing. These programmes are available for various branches of engineering and help students to have many career choices. The total intake capacity for the institute is 180 students in all the courses that are offered in the institute, with each course accommodating 60 students. As for now, there is no specific record of the number of graduates produced since the institute is relatively new, but the college is gradually churning out competent technicians & engineers.

The admission procedure at Udalguri Polytechnic Bhergaon is convenient and easy to accomplish. Although there are no exact details described about the admission process, traditionally polytechnic institutes admit candidates based on performance in entrance tests related to it or on the basis of marks obtained in the 10th standard. All courses offered in the institute cost ₹52,350, and this makes it easy for students who intend to acquire quality technical knowledge and training to do so at an affordable price. Due to its establishment, Udalguri Polytechnic still has a limited number of alumni, and thus the institute has not yet developed enough scholarship systems. However, facts like AICTE approval and availability of every necessary amenities for technical studies make me believe that the college is sincere in offering sound technical education to students.
