Uluberia College was established in the year 1948. It is one of the oldest institutions in Howrah district of West Bengal. This affiliated college, approved by the National Council of Teacher Education, runs many undergraduate courses through its varied disciplines. The compact campus of Uluberia College, spread over 3.1 acres, has grown into a major learning centre in the locality. The institution now has a total student enrolment of 6680, against a faculty of 54.

The facilities in Uluberia College are many and oriented towards enriching the learning experience of the students. A well-stocked library is its adequate support, with specialisation in departments of Science, Arts, Commerce, and B. Ed. The library has internet-enabled computers, computerised cataloging, and special Book Bank facility for needy students.
