My college offers excellent infrastructure and facilities. We have a variety of workshops, including ceramic, stitching, wood, metal, laser cutting, jewellery and 3D printing. These workshops provide hands-on learning opportunities and are maintained well. Our classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart TVs. We have access to 50 GB Wifi per month. The hostels are well maintained with a lot of facilities. The mess offers hygienic food with a menu that changes every month, including 4 meals a day. We also have 3 additional cafeterias. Our campus has a great stationery store which is very convenient. It has everything from basic stationery to various materials such as wood blocks, fabrics, wires, and even everyday items such as toiletries, etc. Our library offers a wide range of books on various subjects. Students can issue those books, except for magazines and research documents written by other students.
I am studying Lifestyle Accessory Design, specialising in jewellery design. Initially, our department was separate but it was unfortunately closed down in 2023 and the course was merged with fashion and styling. I don't much about the teaching of other departments, I can confidently say that my department was really good and provided a strong foundation. We have great faculties. At first I thought I should've taken admission at NIFT, as it is well known in the field. However, over time, I realised our curriculum has given me a broader skill set. We have learned a mix of theory and practical work, ranging from hand rendering to mastering various digital software, and even working with diverse materials. I have interacted with some students from NIFT and they haven't had exposure to some of the skills we've gained here. In terms of making us job ready, I believe the course has prepared me well. The projects we worked on were aligned with industry standards. We also had the opportunity to work on internships. I have interned at 2 jewellery companies- Tanishq and A'star Jewellery. While there's always room for improvement, I do think ours was relatively up-to-date and covered a lot of stuff.
I am not entirely sure about the placement process at my college as I never opted for it during my internships. From what I have heard it isInstead, a lengthy process with a lot of rules and procedures to follow. I directly sent my application to the companies I was interested in, which most of the students here do. As for packages, they vary widely depending on the company. For example, during my internships, Titan Company Ltd. offered me a stipend of 35K per month, while A'star Jewellery offered me 10K per month.
For my batch - 2021-25, the tuition fee is rs.2,25,500 per semester, which I feel is worth it. However, fees increase for every newer batch. Rs.2,50,000 for our direct juniors and they continue to rise. Additionally Rs.5000 for activities and Rs.2000 for exam fees, which makes you think why are you so much tuition fee only to pay extra. This makes it feel quite expensive overall, especially for current batches.
Our campus is great, hosting events like exhibitions, musical events, and Ahmedabad Design Week. Various workshops are held regularly. Students, faculties (depending on the department), and support staff are all supportive. The campus is located near a village which feels a little isolated from the main city - Gandhinagar. It's not safe to out alone at night, as the area has some unsavory crowd. But any which ways you are not allowed to go outside after 10:00 pm. The campus is well equipped for emergencies with an ambulance and doctors on-site.
Nope, just ask the current students for their experience before taking admission here, as the curriculum keeps on updating and new things keep being added.
The infrastructure of uid is great it has all the necessary workshops and experts to help you at any time you need. The classes have all the facilities like wifi, smart boards etc. The loving spaces are extremely clean.
I am persuing b.des in product design, the faculties in pd are great they help us all with everything problem we face. The curriculum is updated every year as the trends in design changes as it is very necessary for a designer to follow all the new trends and tech.
The placement team is really good, the team helps us with every step and connects us with good companies. They also evaluate our portfolios and tell us necessary updates to stand out from the rest of the crowd.
Yes definitely it is value for money as they make you industry ready.
Amazing campus life, our campus is filled with greenary and has all the amenities that you might need .
Great Infrastructure and great college atmosphere. All necessary equipments and labs are available. No need for students to go outside campus looking for material or equipment. Also fully air conditioned classrooms. Spacious classrooms for great learning and a good co-working space.
Academics is good and the faculties are helpful. Never feels like attending a class you go to the class have fun and always come back learning something new. Great to work in campus and have the freedom to explore.
Not so good placement opportunities. Faced issues. The placement cell did not support students enough. Always confused placement cell and no good companies were there. Last minute communications and no help provided by placement cell.
Okayish value for money. College focuses on earning more than on student benefit.
Amazing campus life. Had a great time.
College is good but please consider money matters before admission.
The infrastructure is really good, equipped with proper workshops and classes with ergonomic benches and tables which are really comfortable. Also the hostel has all the facilities on time and the staff takes proper care.
The syllabus is shared within students on a prior basis so that they are familiar with the subjects and they provide relevant amount of knowledge and also the quality of teaching is good, the faculties are from the top colleges in india.
The placement cell comes beforehand and gives you a lot of knowledge and subject towards what you need to do, explains the process neatly. Though the placement process is a bit lengthy but the college is supportive.
To be honest, the fees can be less because 2.25L is too much for a semester.
Amazing people from all around india and great interactions and some or the other activity is always going in so the campus never sleeps!
It was really fun and explored a lot of things.
The college provides free WiFi to every student, essential for visual communication design students like me who heavily rely on laptops. The infrastructure is remarkable, featuring air-conditioned classrooms, well-equipped labs, and IT rooms to accommodate the creative process. The campus is beautifully green with numerous trees, ponds, and even charming residents like turtles and ducks. This serene environment enhances our learning experience, fostering creativity and concentration.
I am currently pursuing a Master's in Graphic Design, specializing in Visual Experiential Design, at UID College. The caliber of instruction varies among professors, with some being exceptionally supportive. The curriculum is meticulously structured, aligning with contemporary industry needs and future job requirements. The modules are designed to prepare us for upcoming challenges and goals in the ever-evolving field of design.
Companies actively participate in our college recruitment drives, offering valuable opportunities for students. The dedicated faculty plays a pivotal role in guiding us to create compelling portfolios that showcase our skills effectively. The collaborative efforts between teachers and students enhance our readiness for the professional world. Campus selections are based on individual skills, ensuring a tailored approach to match students with suitable opportunities. The diverse array of packages
The tuition fees at UID are substantial, running into lakhs, making it a financial challenge for families from below-average middle-class backgrounds. Affording this education might seem daunting; however, for passionate students, the investment is profoundly worthwhile. The unique and enriching academic environment, coupled with the quality of education, justifies the cost. UID provides an unparalleled platform for honing creative skills, fostering innovation, and nurturing a deep understanding
The campus life at UID is vibrant and dynamic, characterized by a creative fervor that comes alive through numerous artistic festivals and celebrations. Being a design college, the atmosphere is charged with innovation and imagination, creating an environment where students can truly thrive. The institution hosts a plethora of creative art festivals that serve as platforms for students to showcase their talents, exchange ideas, and engage in collaborative projects.
In the realm of design education, a universal truth emerges—hard work and self-learning are indispensable. The design field, known for its dynamic and evolving nature, demands a proactive approach from students. Working hard becomes a mantra for success, as it not only hones technical skills but also cultivates a strong work ethic. Beyond the structured curriculum, self-learning stands as a cornerstone for design students.

The infrastructure of the college plays a vital role in the development of the college as the students are now focusing on the labs, classrooms etc. while selecting a college. Karnavati University has great infrastructure with advanced laboratories equipped with state of the art equipment etc
My cousin is studying Designing in Karnavati University. The teaching for the course was incredible. The professors here are incredibly smart and have never made my cousin feel that she is below them and have gone above and beyond to give support. The teachings are imparted in a manner that helps us in our job.
My cousin says its one of her best decision to have had an opportunity to study in Karnavati University. the placements were above par compared to the cost incurred in the studies. The placement ratio is 100 percent and more than the placement ratio, the happiness index of the students matter and that is also 100 percent.
The course costs Rs 550000 per year. A total of Rs 2200000 for the total program of 4 years. The University is worth investing every penny into with such fabulous teaching and state of the art infrastructure. Yes it is definitely worth the money
Four years and my cousin could not find any fault in the campus life. She says its flawless. People are friendly and helps us at all times be it the teaching or the non teaching staff. A lush green campus located in Gandhinagar
As per your query ,

Thank you and all the best.
Dear Aspirant,
There are various institutes which provide interior design program without any pre requisite of educational qualification. For PG Diploma in Interior design one needs to pass graduation from any stream with minimum 55% from recognized university.
So being a civil engineer you can definitely pursue interior designing course
Hope this helps
