The University College of Education, Warangal began in 2005 is a constituent of Kakatiya University established in Vidyaranyapuri, Hanamkonda, Telangana. The given school is aimed at becoming a leader of educational transformations and provides a choice of various focused programmes to study. NCTE recognised college, the institution has become known for producing quality teachers in the country. Being a category ‘B’ institution, the institution has embraced the provision of both undergraduate and postgraduate studies thus having four distinct degree programmes for prospective teachers at different stages of their training. University College of Education ensure a proper environment for students to learn. The following are some aspects of physical facility resources that are available in the campus to support education. Students have an advantage being in well-equipped laboratories; some of these include; Psychology, Tech, Computer, and Science laboratories. College library has 5797 subject books and many Indian & International research Journals subscription, which act as a treasure to the students and the faculty of the college. For the physically challenged, there are special provisions for assistance and access to most facilities; for those who need to live in the school, there are boys and girls hostels for outstation students.
Speaking of courses, the University College of Education offers all the necessary courses that are aimed at preparing the students for the corresponding academic year. The institution offers four full-time programmes: B.Ed., M.Ed., M.Phil. in Education and PhD in Education. The largest programme at the college is the B.Ed programme with an intake capacity of 100 students forms the basis of teacher education. Of the traditional education students, 35 can be enrolled in M.Ed programme , whereas in M.Phil and Ph.D in Education programmes twelve seats each are available. These programmes are designed to afford a person in-depth information and skills that are vital in determining a career in education. This is evident in the design of the college programmes and the delivery systems put in place to produce professional educators.

Admission criteria in for the B.Ed programme has been set as per merit in marks obtained in qualifying and/or entrance test as prescribed by the State Government and the University. Quite likewise, M.Ed admission is also based on the merit that includes the candidate’s performance in qualifying examination, entrance test or any other method followed by the state government/university.
