University College of Engineering, Panruti (UCEP) as an acknowledged university college was founded 2008 in the southern region of Tamil Nadu, India. Having a geographical presence at Chennai Kumbakonam Highway this constituent college has been providing direction to the engineering education for more than a decade. UCEP occupies a vast piece of land of 22.21 acres providing Aero Campus for teaching and learning in serene environment. Currently, the college has total strength of 1214 students and has a well dedicated faculty of 67 members which provides a good number strength faculty ratio for the creamy layer and individual attendance to the students.

May these UCEP take pride in providing wide ranged facilities for the augmentation of student facilities. This campus houses separate hostels for girl and boy; this is convenient for learners coming from distant places as they will be able to get comfortable hostels to stay in. A modern library is a source of knowledge, whereas state-of-art laboratories are used to create laboratories that would facilitate practical learning of various engineering disciplines. The college aim at the students’ all round development is seen through the provided sports facilities and an auditorium for event and seminar purposes. Urgent health care of the community is provided by the health center with first Aid in UCEP. The campus also has a good Information Technology for the students to enable them cope with the latest development in technology. There is provision of many parking facilities for members of the institution’s community including faculty, staff, and students enhancing campus convenience.

Currently, the academic environment of UCEP AC offers its students seven full-time undergraduate engineering programs. Among them, BE in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering… Interestingly, UCEP also providing BE programs in the Tamil medium for Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering to underline its mission for equal access for all. The number of total approved intake are 420 for all courses offered, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering offered has the maximum intake of 120. Such a variety of programs even enables a learner to select the area of specialization in order to actualize his or her dreams.
