University School of Automation and Robotics, Delhi (USAR) is an Advanced Place based in 2021 is a premiere knowledge institution with specialisation in Automation and Robotics for producing generations of innovators. Situated in the core of New Delhi, this affiliated college to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University operates unique engineering courses that centre on advanced relevant fields. Currently USAR has a pool of 25 full time faculty members who have significant experience in the areas of automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and IoT and the institution is committed to providing quality education. Spread over an area of one hundred and seventy- three acres, Institute’s campus at sector- 16 C, Dwarka; New Delhi is emerging as a fertile ground for technology development in the midst of the Indian capital.

As one of the well-equipped research universities in the United States, USAR has equipped sophisticated experiment and training equipment used for practical lesson delivery and research. The institute boasts of having functional laboratories necessary for various fields that gives the students the practical experience besides the theoretical knowledge. An ideal library to support the entire programme is a well-stocked library with a big stock of books and journals, national and international subscription to journals. The institute also has a focus in the complete growth of a student through provision of sports amenities and active alumni. For the few students who need some form of a special needs, USAR has available separate facilities for boys and girls hostels to support them and provide a comfortable environment for studying. USAR at the present time has Four full time B.Tech course options that has been developed to meet the escalating need for professionals trained in new technology domains. These four-year undergraduate degree offer B.Tech in AI & Data Science, B.Tech in AI & Machine Learning, B.Tech in Automation and Robotics and B.Tech in Industrial IoT. Fifty two credit hour programmes included in the programmes are as follows: Each programme has an approved intake of 120 students and 480 seats for all the courses offered. These specialised degrees also confirm the approach followed at USAR to academic education in terms of meeting the expectations of technology and industry in the future.

The admission into USAR comes with certain hard headed requirements which helps the institution recruit the most qualified personnel. Only, students aspiring for the B.Tech programme need to write the JEE Main Paper 1 which is conducted by the NTA. USAR does not take Common Entrance Test for admissions but offer admission based on the rank obtained in the JEE Main Paper 1 only. The university also considers scores that candidate obtained Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) in its admission process. However, it is relevant for candidates with blindness inclusive of Color blindness, or hearing impairment or those who have no ability to speak at all are not allowed to apply for any of these courses because of the nature of the courses involved.
