Upendra Nath College, Mayurbhanj, has been affiliated with NAAC. Located at Nalagaja in Odisha, a part of India, this college welcomes a broad array of undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams. Admission at Upendra Nath College is designed to attract, on merit, deserving students selected based on their performance record and entrance exam scores. As per the merit criterion, the college respects student academic records and their performance on the Common Admission Test (CAT). By placing great emphasis on the contestants, it selects the best-suited candidates to avail of the different programs on offer. The cycle for admission sets in after the announcement of the 10+2 results but the program under which an applicant applies determines some specific dates, which at times vary from year to year.
Students are ranked on the basis of their academic merit and CAT score for admissions into honours courses. Thereafter, allotments are made to the students for their chosen subjects following the rank secured. This system ensures that excellent students capture a common space at the same time on the program of their choice. The criteria to qualify for admission into Upendra Nath College depend upon the programs selected. Ordinarily, students need to complete their 10+2 schooling from a recognized board in the streams of their choice with the indicated subject combinations. In particular, subjects may be required for specific courses, the most qualified example being the honours programs.
