Urdu Adhyapak Vidyalaya is situated in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and is an independent B.Ed. college that focuses on the education of teachers. This institution therefore started in the year 2006 and has been preparing teachers of the future for over fifteen years now. However, its area of coverage is limited as it occupies 0.5-acre pieces of land in the entire compound for the college. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the institute fosters quality education that meets the country’s standard. Presently, this college has a 54-student population with 6 faculties serving them, thus producing a high-quality student-faculty ratio to enhance student direct interaction with teachers.

Urdu Adhyapak Vidyalaya  boasts a number of facilities to support the learning culture of its students. The learners can thus exploit college sports amenities for both physical and academic development purposes, for sporting lovers. For cultural and academic occasions, the college has an auditorium, where students perform and also attend cultural and academic events. It is considered the knowledge centre of the institution and provides various forms of assistance as regards students research and learning resources. 

To cope with the modern technologically advanced education, the college has well-established IT facilities and is resourceful enough to empower the student community. Practical learning is made possible through departmental laboratories in which students could use real-life settings in course applications. Also, the college offers transport facilities to students and employees of the college to enhance means of transport so that getting to college is more convenient.

Urdu Adhyapak Vidyalaya at Nagpur is a dedicated teaching institution that provides programme on diploma in education (D.Ed.). This is a two-year full-time course in D.Ed. specifically for teaching practice in Urdu medium school. The institute has had approval to admit only fifty students for this programme so as to ensure quality delivery is achieved. This specialisation is a clear indication of the institute’s policy in maintaining the Urdu language in education systems since it also prepares its students in methods of teaching that are in line with the current society.

The admission rules of the institute have been developed in compliance with the regulations of the Maharashtra State Government and the affiliated university.
