Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College, Dehradun was established in the year 2001, and it is one of the prime institutions for the study and practice of Ayurved. It is a co-educational college that is situated at 17, Old Mussoorie Road, Rajpur, Dehradun, and is an affiliated institution approved by CCIM. Total strength of students in the institution is 240 and the strength of faculty in the institution is 44. Six is different in degree programs in the Ayurveda and its allied programs. Seven courses are there which relates majorly the traditional Indian medicine and wellness practices.

Various types of facilities are provided by the college which gives amplified learning and a good atmosphere for the students altogether. There is one hostel for boys and girls in the college where homely, comfortable, and safe living environment is provided within the campus. Rooms are well furnished, attached clean toilets, dining space and TV lounges. Besides this, the college provides clean and homely food and pick and drop between the hostel and institute. The library is well-stocked and departmental laboratories provide ample facilities for research and practical learning in academic pursuance. Health center with first-aid facilities is available in the campus and medical attention is given as fast as it is possible. The institute has also fostered the facilities of sports for physical fitness and recreation. College provides bus transport facilities both to students and to staff.

All the courses on Ayurvedic Medicines in this regard are given comprehensive exposure in Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College. Seven full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses are given by the institute. BAMS is the most prominent course of the institute and it has the approval of 100 seats. Other prominent courses are MD Ayurveda, MA Yoga, PGDM Yogic Science, Diploma in Public Health and Community Nutrition, and Diploma in Panchkarma Therapist. In addition to conducting the BDS, B Sc N&p, and BABS courses, it conducts the course of Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences. It has the total intake of 240 students in all courses, so it aims at turning out well-trained professionals in the sphere of Ayurvedic medicine and holistic health practices.

The admission procedure is different in different programs at Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College. In this course, the institute accepts admission through NEET, the national-level test for entering medical courses. Applicant to this course is accepted only through an entrance test. In MA Yoga, PGDM Yogic Science, and other Diploma courses, the process of admission is based on merit.
