Established in the year 2001, Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College, Dehradun, is one of the prime institutions for the study and practice of Ayurved. The co-educational college is situated at 17, Old Mussoorie Road, Rajpur, Dehradun, and is an affiliated institution approved by CCIM. Having an enrolment of 240 students in total, the faculty strength of the institution is 44. There are offered six different degree programs in Ayurveda and its several allied programs. There are seven courses covering major aspects related to traditional Indian medicine and wellness practices.

The college offers a wide range of facilities which provides enhanced learning and an overall good environment for the students. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls to maintain a homely, comfortable, and safe living atmosphere within the college campus. The hostels are well-furnished with rooms, attached clean bathrooms, dining space, and TV lounges. The college also offers hygienic and homely food along with pick and drop between the hostel and institute. The college has a well-stocked library, and the departmental laboratories provide ample facilities for research and practical learning in academic pursuance. Health center with first-aid facilities is available in the campus, and medical attention is provided as fast as possible. The institute has also promoted the facilities of sports for physical fitness and recreation. College provides bus transport facilities for both students and staff.

All courses related to Ayurvedic Medicine are afforded comprehensive exposure at the Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College. Seven full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses are offered by the institute. BAMS is the most prominent course of the institute and is approved with an intake capacity of 100 seats. Other prominent courses are MD Ayurveda, MA Yoga, PGDM Yogic Science, Diploma in Public Health and Community Nutrition, and Diploma in Panchkarma Therapist. The college also conducts a Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences course. With a total intake of 240 students in all courses, the institute aims at turning out well-trained professionals in the field of Ayurvedic medicine and holistic health practices.
The admission procedure for Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College is different for different programs.

The institute offers admission to this course through NEET, the national-level test for entry into medical courses. Applicant to this course is accepted only on the basis of an entrance test. In MA Yoga, PGDM Yogic Science, and other Diploma courses, admission is mostly based on merit.
