V.K. Krishna Menon College of Commerce and Economics and Sharad Shankar Dighe College of Science, Mumbai. The college offers a wide range of programs in Commerce and Science disciplines. It is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and admits students to its undergraduate and postgraduate programs on a merit basis. 

The admission process at V.K. Krishna Menon College generally starts after the declaration of 12th standard results by various boards. For undergraduate programs, admissions are done based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, that is, 12th standard. Postgraduate admissions are done based on the marks obtained in the relevant bachelor's degree program. The college follows the admission schedule and guidelines set by the University of Mumbai.

Different eligibility criteria are followed according to the respective programs. In B.Com and B.Sc courses, students have to pass the 12th standard with appropriate subject combination. For M.Com courses, a candidate must be a B.Com graduate from any reputed university. However, different subjects may be prescribed for different courses.

Application Process

The process of application for V.K. Krishna Menon College is as follows:

1. Admission Announcement: The college declares the opening of admissions through its website and local newspapers.

2. Application Form: The application form can be taken from the college office or downloaded from the official website.

3. Document Submission: The applicants have to submit the filled-in application form along with the following documents:

• Original along with xerox copy of the marks sheets of the 10th and 12th standard marks
• School / College leaving certificate
• Caste certificate, as applicable
• Photocopy of recent passport size photographs
• Other relevant certificate document as specified by the College from time to time

4 Merit list:

• Merit list by the college that is prepared solely on merit at the qualifying exams based on the marks acquired.

5. Counseling and Seat Allotment: The selected students are sent for counseling. Under counseling, all the candidates who have secured seats can select the course as desired by them at their level of merit with seat availability.

6. Payment of Fees: Students who got through have to deposit the fee payable as notified with the prescribed timeline so that admission would get confirmed.

7. Verification of documents: The submitted documents were verified by the college.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Com: Three-Year B.Com will be provided by the college. It will have 360 seats. The students get admitted on the basis of 12th marks, and their marks will be predominantly for students studying Commerce and allied subjects. The complete tuition fee for this course is approximately Rs. 18,233.

B.Sc: There are two B.Sc courses.

1. B.Sc (General): This three-year program is offered with 120 seats and a fee of Rs. 20,433. Admission will be based on 12th standard marks in Science subjects.
2. B.Sc Computer Science (Self-Finance): The specialized program will have 120 seats and a more significant fee of Rs. 93,473. Students with an excellent background in Mathematics and Computer Science are preferable.

BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies): This Self-financed Course has 60 seats and tuition fees of Rs. 54,973/- Admission is by 12th standard marks to students from all streams with any good analytical/communication skills set.

M. Com: It offers two kinds of M Com courses:

1. M.Com Advanced Accountancy (Self-Finance): It is a two-year course with 80 seats and a fee of Rs. 29,065. The admission is through marks obtained in B.Com or equivalent degree.
2. M.Com Business Management: It is a course having 60 seats. Admission is based on graduation marks in Commerce or related fields.
