Vaagdevi Degree and PG College a women’s college located at Hanamkonda in Telangana, India was started in the year 1995. This affiliated college located in a 2-acre area provides a wide array of 31 courses in 8 degree programs. At present the college offers student intake of 1154 and possesses a faculty of 233 to help the aspiring students to learn. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council has accredited the Vaagdevi Degree and PG College, whereas the All India Council for Technical Education has given approval.

Some of the facilities are as follows: The college has numerous units with facilities that aim at promoting the whole learning process. The Barnes&Noble equipped campus library is also an important knowledge centre for the students and the faculty. The institution also has contemporary and deartmental laboratories for practical skills training. An auditorium is used to host different functions as well as seminars in order to foster window campus life. The college also spares no effort in catering student welfare by providing a cafeteria, a health center that provides first aid services and sporting amenities. For those who have to be accommodated, facilities for hostels are as provided for both males and female students.

Vaagdevi Degree and PG College has a wide variety of full time programs in science, arts, commerce and management streams. College currently offers 31 courses that cut across the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Some of the plethora of programs include B.Sc in combination with Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Statics Electronic, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology Biotechnology & Microbiology BCA, B.Com, BBA, MBA, MCA, M.Sc (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry Microbiology, and Zoology. The MBA program which is one of the flagship courses conducts 240 students for the academic year, 2009-2010 and the MCA program conducts 120 students for the academic year, 2009-2010.

Vaagdevi Degree and PG College has set different admission procedure according to the programs offered. For other under graduate courses like B.Sc the admission process would be strictly based on merit as per the candidate and the XIIth Intermediate marks conducted by the State Board of Intermediate Education Telangana or any other examination as per Kakatiya University. For postgraduate courses like MBA and MCA the college accepts the scores of TSICET – Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test. The practice of alumni relations is developed at the institution and provides interaction of the Faculty and current learners with the graduates who can become successful professionals. It has not been possible to obtain detailed information on scholarships provided in the college but students can gain other development aspects through the available clubs and co-curricular activities.
