Vaageshwari College of Engineering, Karim Nagar (VGSEK) is among the pioneering institute which was set up in the year 2005. This college is found in Karimnagar, Telangana, it occupies a total area of 7.5 acres acres. VGSEK is a affiliated college recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). With a total student infrastructure of 1989 and faculty members of 204, the institute offers 17 courses in five programmes of study. The college has almost equal ratio of male and female students, that is 963 male students and 935 female students respectively.

VGSEK offers all-round services which makes the students’ experiences better. A girls’ hostel is available where more than 300 students are living in comfortable and secure facilities that are friendly to the natural environment. Central library has access to more over 34,000 volumes, texts, books, reference books, competitive examination books etc. For the sporting enthusiasts, the college provides approximations to both indoor and outdoor exercise to participate in different games that are upheld annually or any other sports day. The IT infrastructure is adequate with cyber centre of 114 PC and internet connectivity of 100 Mbps. Some of the additional facilities that the students are able to access include a cafeteria which will be stocked with cuisines from all over the world, an air conditioned auditorium for events, and well as transport means to some of the big towns in the region.

The institute is diverse in the nature of courses it provides. There are 17 full time curriculums of study that cover a broad subject spectrum. These include undergraduate B.Tech programmes in disciplines such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Specialisation areas of present and future interest including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. At the post graduate level, VGSEK offers Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). The college also provides diploma in several fields of engineering and technological degree courses. In total, 1,989 seats have been approved for all courses that the college offers, which are grouped according to the area of study and scope of practice.

VGSEK has several admission criteria of which the most common is entrance tests administered by the Government of Telangana. In case of undergraduate engineering programmes, colleges take students on the basis of the ranks obtained in the TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test). While considering admissions for M.Tech programmes, the universities take an entrance exam score called GATE but candidates with no GATE score can opt for a similar exam known as TS-PGECET. MBA and MCA admissions are only through TSICET (Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test). The college also considers GATE score for some of the streams, apart from the competitive examinations mentioned.
