Vadodara Design Academy was established in 2006 as an affiliated college. This institute offers education within the core field of Architecture and is approved by the Council of Architecture. The compact 2 acres campus at Vadodara delivers an intense environment for learning to the students who desire to become architects. With the headcount of 39 enrolled students and a faculty strength of 7, the student-to-teacher ratio was positive. VDA has only one course available: Bachelor of Architecture, which is a five-year full-time course.

The academy offers facilities enhancing the students' academic and personal lives. The library stretches to the studios, with a large collection of architectural catalogues and samples and worldwide information resources readily available. Though online, the list is yet to be constructed, but access through physical media is provided. VDA has sports facilities that promote physical well-being and a balanced lifestyle. IT structure is well-equipped, as the students are equally provided with access to needed technological resources for their studies. There is an on-campus cafeteria that caters to the dietary needs of both the staff and the students. On the other hand, the college is well maintained with departmental laboratories, which provide hands-on experiences so integral to architectural education. There is also an auditorium that hosts events and seminars, hence adding much-needed vibrancy to the academic atmosphere. 

B.Arch continues to be the core academic offering of the Vadodara Design Academy. This is an all-day programme that equips its students with immense education on architectural design, theory, and practice. In keeping with the industrial standards, the B.Arch programme has been shaping its students for a very dynamic architecture field.

The Vadodara Design Academy basically relies on the National Aptitude Test in Architecture for admission to its course. It is the structured and standardised aptitude test through which the real aptitude of the aspiring architectural students is evaluated. This becomes part of the admissions selection process. In that case, the students aspiring for admissions are prepared and alerted of the NATA conduct along with relevant dates of examination and admission.
