Vaibhav Shikshan Sanstha VITAS College of Education, Vita was started in the year 2008 is one of the well-known colleges and situated in Vita, Maharashtra. This is a co educational college affiliated to shivaji university college to prepare the future educators. The college is affiliated to N.C.T.E and the college is situated in a very small area of just one acre. The college admits 96 students at a time and has 6 members of the faculty, so the rate is considerate. The said institution currently offers only one programm, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), which is characteristic for such institutions as the studied one, focused mainly on teacher preparing. 

The college has put in place various facility that is aimed at supporting the learning process of its students. The core of such facility is a comfortable library that provides learners with tutoring materials necessary to become a teacher. The science laboratory has instruments from the physical, chemical, and biological science to afford students practical learning experiences. To serve the needs of the digital age education the college has an established and developed IT facility with thirty computers and broadband connectivity for research and other modern approaches of teaching. In order to ensure the complete physical well-being of students, VITAS College provides sports and a gym. It also has a health centre with an AHP branch where first aid services are available to the campus community. 

The B.Ed is the Flagship programme of VITAS College of Education and is a two years full time programme. This program has taken an intake of one hundred for accreditation, and this caters for so many students who intend to be teachers in the society every year. This programme of the B.Ed course provides the student with relevant knowledge and skills for successful practice in the teaching field. This single degree program is evidenced that the college pays great attention to the issue of quality rather than the quantity of teacher education.

All the VITAS College of Education admissions are done based on merit as guided by the state government, UT administration and the university. On the basis of performance of qualifying examination and or the entrance examination, the prospectus students are admitted. This approach helps the college to select men and women with the prospect of making good teachers. Though there is no information available about specific scholarships at the college, there is an alumni association which creates supportive social environment for former and current learners. 

Education is well pronounced in the institution through its several facilities, an audio-visual center, a browsing center that make up the learning facilities.
