Varda College of Education, Sikar, set up in 2007 Neem Ka Thana (Rajasthan), is one of the premier colleges offering teacher training programme . Suitably recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), it is a co-educational affiliated college that bifurcates its focus on different programmes in the field of education. The college is located on a small piece of land area of 1.0432-acre and at this juncture, it has a total in taking capacity of six hundred and twenty seven students and the total number of faculties we have are fifty four. Varda College of Education offers three courses under two degree programmes as outlined below to those who wish to teach in a given area.
Varda College of Education seeks to ensure that learning environment suits its students in the best way possible. Besides, it has a library, equipped with a large number of books, altogether counting to 14,835 books for the use of scholars. It also boast of a modern Curriculum Laboratory and Resources Centre, that has resource materials, on English Language, Science Education, Social Science Education, Regional Language and Core Mathematics. Languages like facilities like offenders are already augmented by a modern Language Lab that brings into the learning process advanced instructional aids. In the college for extra curricular activities, the college has set up a Health and Physical Education Resource Centre with provision for both indoor and outdoor games.
Here, it should also be noted that Varda College of Education; teaches a total of three full time courses in the faculty of education in order to make students professional educators. The overall enrolment size, shown to be at 627 students, a parameter that was taken seriously by the college at the time it was setting its student instructor ratio. The institution provides two integrated programmes: a four year integrated BA B.Ed programme for fifty seats, and a four year integrated B.Sc B.Ed programme. Besides, it runs a two-year B.Ed programme with a largest number of intake of 200 seats for all those who want to be teachers.
Admission to Varda College of Education is based on the merit that is determined by the state government of Rajasthan. For the B.Ed programme, the admission is done through counselling for Pre Teacher Education Test (PTET), which is organised by a Counselling Agency as and by the nominated by the state government. The BA B Ed as well as B Sc B Ed Programmes are also based on qualification exam marks, entrance tests if any as per the states norms. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college carries out admissions strictly on merit following the government policies of the state of Rajasthan.The admission procedure of Varda College of Education is to select those students who are capable of pursuing the career option in the fields of education. The merit for admission to the B.Ed course is given through counseling against the Pre Teacher Education Test (PTET), which is conducted by a Counseling Agency appointed by the state Government of India. Integrated BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed programs follow merit-based admissions based on due weightage to qualifying examination marks and entrance tests according to state policy.

Degree Wise Admission Process
B.Sc B.Ed: Varda College of Education offers a four-year integrated program. Admission for this course is based on merit, on the basis of the qualifying examination and entrance examination. Selection follows the policy made available by state government of rajasthan.Students are supposed to check the eligibility criteria for science subjects at the 10+2 level.
BA B.Ed: This, too, is a four-year integrated program and is similar to the B.Sc B.Ed in the method of admission, which is merit-based based on the qualifying examination and entrance test scores. Selection is carried out under the policy of the state government. Candidates need to be reasonably well versed in art subjects at the 10 + 2 level to be eligible for this program.
B.Ed: This 2 Year program is the flagship course of Varda College of Education with an approved intake of 200 seats. Admission is by counseling through the Pre Teacher Education Test (PTET). The PTET is conducted by an agency appointed by the Rajasthan state government. Thereafter, the candidates who qualify the PTET enter through counseling where allotment of seats is done on merit and choice.
