Vathsala Johnson College of Teacher training college launched in 2010 situated in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu. Vathsala Johnson College of Teacher Education is one of the reputed colleges in Tamil Nadu for teacher training. This co-educational college, occupying only 0.45913 acres of land, is one of the actors in the process of transforming education. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college provides the B.Ed. programme with an emphasis on producing professional and committed teachers. It currently offers a total student intake of 144 members of faculties, while the institute boasts a faculty strength of only 11 members.

It is a college that has fitted modern facilities for learning, which will improve the experiences of the students. A standard library shelves more than 4,000 books, general, subject-specific, encyclopaedia, dictionary, and other reference types. Some of the modern and well-equipped laboratories on campus include mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, psychology, computer science, and educational technology, as well as practical-orientated laboratories such as mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, and educational technologies. 

To ensure more holistic student development, the college provides sports facilities, a gym, and hostels for both genders. At present, Vathsala Johnson College of Teacher Education offers only one full-time course, which is the B.Ed. programme. This course takes two years and has an approved student’s capacity intake of one hundred students, which is our way of showing that the institute is serious with issues to do with the status of students per teacher ratio and the like. According to the course description, the B.Ed. programme is one of the most demanding and focused programmes, which prepares the students for good jobs in the field of education.

Vathsala Johnson College of Teacher Education does not have any kind of management quota for admission and depends solely on marks secured in the entrance or the qualifying examinations.
