VDF School of Polytechnic, Latur, was established in the year 2010. The college is among the premier technical institutes in the Additional MIDC area of Latur, Maharashtra. Co-Ed in nature, this institute is spread across a vast area of 50 acres. It imparts diplomas in different streams of engineering. Being an affiliated college, the VDF School of Polytechnic strives to impart quality technical education to budding engineers. With a current total enrolment of 33 students, the institute is established and upholds a focused learning environment where each student can experience and get hands-on training in a state-of-the-art facility. 

VDF School of Polytechnic is bright and airy, and laboratories for each department are well-furnished with modern facilities in the practical exposure of the students in the field of their respective choices. A well-stocked library is the soul of a college for a library is the focal point from where all the academic aspirations emanate, and a student or student starts to gain stupendous knowledge. The college's IT infrastructure is also state-of-the-art, as it is also imperative for a student to be abreast of the latest in technology. Sports facilities, gymnasium, and auditorium for cultural and other academic events are a part of developmental activity that is undertaken at VDF School of Polytechnic premises. Additionally, it has a cafeteria, a health centre equipped with first aid, and guest rooms for visiting faculty and their families; therefore, it ensures comfort and a proper conducive environment for studying by all students and staff. 

The VDF School of Polytechnic has five full-time diploma programmes, with each running for a duration of three years. The programmes incorporated under this course are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Computer Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Diploma in Electronics Engineering. Being fulltime courses, the institute ensures that all of them are imparting the technical basis pertaining to the practical utility in the respective field. This whole idea of practicing well in the institute with full intensity ensures that the students easily get to learn the demands of the industry and are able to face them head-on.
