Veerangana Maharani Laxmibai Government Girls Degree College, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh is one of the city's principal institutes with the cause of women's education at its core. The affiliated college was started in 1996. Since its inception more than two decades ago, the college has grown to the current number of students of 1,651 and 19 faculty members. It provides a diversity of 7 courses in 3 programs thereby giving numerous opportunities to students to develop academically and specialize in the provided field.

The college boasts of providing a range of facilities for students to indulge in general learning. It has equipped its campus with a good library that allows the students to take back an enormous number of books, thereby giving vast knowledge and resource. Veerangana Maharani Laxmibai Government Girls Degree College offers 7 full-time courses in undergraduate and postgraduate level respectively. At the undergraduate level, the college offers two types of programs: BA and BCom; both have a three-year duration. At the advanced level, five postgraduate courses are available: MA in English, Sociology, Political Science, Geography, and Hindi, each of a two-year duration.
