Venutai Chavan College, Karad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Venutai Chavan College, Karad was set up in 1971 in Vidyanagar, Karad, Maharashtra, and is one of the largest colleges. This affiliated college with its expanse of 10 acre has been fulfiling the requirements of academic fraternity for more than five decades. The college is NAAC accredited and has various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to its credit. The total number of students intake is 1,614 and the faculty it has is 48 which make Venutai Chavan College to provide right atmosphere as well as environment for quality education and personality development. The college has well equipped facilities meant to make the learning process of the college students easier and better. 

Venutai Chavan College has a library fund supplemented by monies provided by the University Grants Commission and the college, the collection is constantly expanded and improved as a service to students and other users. Sports lovers will definitely have a taste of Seton college with Olympic-standard 400 m 8-lane athletic track and talents for activities such as kho-kho, kabaddi, handball, football, cricket, softball, volley, baseball. The campus also includes throwing areas for shot puts, discus, hammer, and javelin, together with long and high jump, triple jump, and pole vault pits. 

In all, Venutai Chavan College provides 9 different types of course and all of them are being full time course. These include four undergraduate courses: General degree courses include BA, B.Com, BBA, and three masters’ degree courses M.Com, MA in Marathi, MBA and Master of Philosophy in English. The programme offers include a diverse spectrum of curricula corresponding to students’ areas of focus and expected career paths. Although the number of seats for each course is not mentioned, it can be seen that the college has an intake of 1614, which shows the good, fat intake capacity for all its courses. 

The admission process of Venezavai Chavan College includes admission of all castes and creed based on merit, though the procedure is not explained clearly. Prospective students are advised to visit the college's portal . On this the college has invested much capital to ensure that all students are treated equally by having a hostel section for both male and female students fully equipped with modern facilities and mess. Unfortunately, information concerning the scholarships offered is not well developed for this college, but one can imagine that there are several scholarships available to deserving students.
