1. Get registered in KEAM by logging into the official KEAM website.
2. Appear in KEAM exam during the scheduled dates.
3. The qualified candidates can apply for admission through the centralized admission process of Kerala in case the results are declared.
4. Submit all documents including KEAM score card, 10+2 mark sheets and such other certificates as required.
5. In case of getting short listed can appear for counseling at VKIDFT and get oneself admitted in the institute.
M.Tech
1. Announcement for admission into M.Tech courses available in the official website of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.

4. The university conducts its own entrance examination
5. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech Dairy Technology: Admission to this program is based on the candidate's performance in the KEAM examination. The course has an intake of 60 seats. Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
B.Tech Food Technology: Admission process is similar to B.Tech Dairy Technology, and the seat is allotted based on KEAM scores. Number of seats available are not specified. Eligibility 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
M.Tech Dairy Technology: Admission through entrance examination and interview conducted by the university. The selection will be based on merit only. The programme also has Residency option, which is comparable to M.V.Sc. Residency programmes.
M.Tech Dairy Microbiology: Admission to the programme will be through entrance exam and interview, conducted by the university. Merit-based, and Residency programme option also available.
M.Tech Dairy Chemistry: The admission process for this course is the same as other M.Tech courses, which include entrance examination and interview. There is also a Residency program available for this course.
